8 slices rustic country bread that is good for toasting
8 tablespoons Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter
2 pears, washed and sliced
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
1. Place four slices of bread on a chopping board. Spread 2 tablespoons of Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter on each slice in a smooth, even layer. Set aside.
2. On the remaining four slices of bread, arrange pear slices in an even layer. Divide up the sliced pears so each slice of bread has about the same amount on it.
3. Form four sandwiches with the peanut butter and pear slices.
4. Heat a skillet or sandwich press over medium flame and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Swirl the pan to make sure the butter evenly covers the entire surface. Place the sandwich on the pan and put a weight on top of the sandwich, or press down on it with a heatproof spatula. Once the bottom is toasted and golden brown carefully turn over the sandwich and toast the other side. Repeat with remaining three sandwiches. If you need to add the remaining 2 tablespoons butter between the second and third sandwich please do so. Serve hot.
